Stratus Group is signatory to the PRI, na initiative of the United Nations to promote Principles for Responsible Investors. This initiative involves more than US$ 14 trillion in assets under management worldwide, to promote the analysis and monitoring of investments under the approach of environment, social and corporate governance issues. The Stratus Group was the first Private Equity firm to become a signatory, in 2008, and achieved international recognition for its implementation of processes that are aligned with the Principles, as it has been emphasized by the UN PRI 2010 Annual Report.

Stratus also participates in the CDP – Carbon Disclosure Project – an initiative with the ambition to collect and distribute information which motivate investors, companies and governments to implement initiatives to prevent and control global warming.

Stratus Group also suports Sitawi, an entrepreneur organization of relevant social impact. Sitawi operates through a Social Fund, with the objective of increase the impact of organizations em companies that are committed with social and environmental matters. This Social Fund executes loans to such organizations, as a new model of social financing in the country. As opposed to a traditional model of donations, the Sitawi loan has de advantage of being repaid and therefore to benefit several organizations subsequently, to multiply the social impact of the financing as compared to the donation model. Besides the loan and the analysis process which precede the loan approval, Sitawi also works as a consultant to the supported organizations.
